Palace Of Versailles, Hillsboro Beach

Mukesh Ambani is worth $22.8 billion and has put $1 billion into the most expensive home in the world. His 27-story, 400,000-sq.-ft. residence in Mumbai, India, has 6 levels of parking, 3 helipads and an entire floor devoted to “health.” A quick plane ride away, the unnamed owner of the penthouse at One Hyde Park, London, took the title for world’s most expensive apartment at $237 million from the previous record holder at $221 for a Knightsbridge flat. Closer to home, the most expensive real estate listing in America is in Hillsboro Beach, Florida. For $139 million, you get the tropical 60,500-sq-ft. Palace Of Versailles on 4.4 acres accessible through a 22 kt. gold leaf gate. Estimated completion is later this year.
