Global Time

For 60+ years, The Admiral’s Cup was the ultimate challenge for the world’s best ocean racing teams, each entering 3 yachts. More than simply a sponsor, in 1991, Corum’s yachts, Saphir, Rubis and Diamant won the event.

In honor of The Admiral’s Cup, last held in 2005, Corum created the Admiral’s Cup Collection. A recent addition the collection, the Corum Legend 47 Worldtimer features a 47mm titanium housing to protect an auto-winding movement operating at a rate of 28,800 vibrations per hour with a 48-hour power reserve. The timepiece was created to ensure precise accuracy, a singularly critical feature for those gauging the exact moment at which to cross the start line of a race. Travelers will appreciate the World Time complication to monitor a second time zone as evidenced by the 24 time zones identified by respective city abbreviations engraved around the dial beneath a sapphire crystal. A black vulcanized rubber strap with tri-fold clasp secures the Legend 47 in place while at sea or on dry land. As a testament to the absolute functionality of the Admiral’s Cup watches, one can be found on the wrist of noted English yachtsman Ben Ainsle; Corum.ch.
