Over the past few years, we’ve been collecting feedback from you and implementing things here and there to make every page more enjoyable for you to read. You wanted more philanthropy, we created the “Hero” section. You wanted more things to do, we expanded “Diversions.” You demanded to see more of your neighbors on our pages, we added more photos in “Encounters.” You wanted more expert tips, we now have more than 5 expert columns in our “Compass” section per issue on a variety of topics ranging from mental health to cosmetic surgery, love advice, travel tips and more. With this issue, we’ve tweaked your favorite section, “Key Players” a bit. Some of you thought the articles dragged on in the past. The basic message we got was: “Why don’t you focus on who these people are instead of what they do?” Well, with this issue, we’ve done just that. Rather than describe it here, just flip over and see for yourself. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll enjoy reading our candid interviews with our neighbors and friends. We’ve even added new editors, writers and photographers to our team to mix things up at your request. As you can see from what we’ve done and what we’re planning to do, we’re listening! This year, we’ve also launched two new annual traditions: “The Annual Key Biscayne Guide” released every January with my picks of experiences that will keep you busy for the entire year and “The Key Couples” cover story to be released every February in honor of Valentine’s Day. In addition, we will continue our annual May/June “Mother’s Day” cover and our July/Aug “Most Beautiful People” issue, which sometimes brings out the ugly in those of you who weren’t selected! LOL. So as we evolve, we want you taking part in the fun. Let’s continue the dialogue. I’ll make sure your voice is heard one way or another.
