Based in Turkey, Alia Yachts has a stellar reputation for crafting uncompromising superyachts in the 60 meter size range for the most demanding clientele. This 16 meter model was supposed to be a one-off, but as soon as it was launched, orders began flooding in. Dixon Yacht Design’s naval architects created a craft that would be quite at home in a James Bond movie. Essentially a compact superyacht, it’s remarkably beautiful from all angles while also quite practical. The unique bow entry provides a signature appearance, flowing effortlessly to the helm area, galley and salon which are shielded from the sun by an expansive hardtop. All the way aft, the sunpad and teak-accented swim platform allow easy access for afternoon dips. Down below resides a very comfortably-sized stateroom with en suite head, as well as a compact galley for midnight snacks. Powered by twin Volvo 650 engines linked to IPS pods, the 16 meter has an impressive top speed of 35 knots; AliaYachts.com.

Still Waters
Some of the pieces in this editorial took 300 hours to make. Some were crafted by hand in Miami. Some exist as one-of-a-kind in the world. Shot at the Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, Still Waters is an introduction to the women who build their businesses stitch by stitch, bead by bead, and to the women who wear them. Not because she was told to, but because she knows the difference.
