Sail Away

Looking for a summer experience for your child that goes beyond the norm? You’ll find it with the Summer Sailing & Fun Camps at the Key Biscayne Yacht Club.

Sailing, kayaking, racing and fishing — if it has to do with fun on the waves, your child can experience it this summer at the Summer Sailing & Fun Camps at Key Biscayne Yacht Club. The programs run the gamut of age groups and experience levels from 5-year-olds to teens. Not a member of the club? You don’t have to be. The camp sessions, which run from June 11-Aug. 17, are open to members and non-members alike. The club’s facilities — which include a new pool, gazebo and sailing center with easy access to Biscayne Bay — provide an ideal environment for your child to try out their sea legs. “The camps are one of the ways in which the club furthers the healthy sport of sailing and gives back to our wonderful community,” says Hortensia Sampedro Hacker, recently elected as the club’s first female commodore; KBYC.org.
