The Pursuit of Passion

For me, the month of romance has always been about more than just Cupid’s arrows, fancy boxes of chocolates, red roses and mushy one-liners. I prefer instead to focus on life’s little passions and creating new experiences with all the loves of my life. In this issue, we introduce you to people that are pursuing their careers with the same zeal that has defined their personal lives. We give you exclusive tours of residences and overseas developments that will put the passion back in whatever addresses you decide to call home. And, yes, we give you some creative gift ideas that will reignite, augment or debut the love-flames into your romantic relationships. Make sure to check out our “Compass” and “Frolic” sections for some experiences that’ll make your heart skip a beat before, on and after Valentine’s Day. Speaking of the Big V, remember that all nominations for our annual “Key Biscayne’s Most Beautiful People Issue” are due no later than 11:59 p.m. on Feb. 14. The only nominating criteria are that candidates are beautiful inside and out and live on Key Biscayne. Please email candidate name, number and email address to [email protected] for consideration. Also, include a current photo of the nominee and list any organizations he or she is involved with, both professional and philanthropic. And finally, in case the 14th rolls around and you find yourself alone for one reason or another, don’t sit and dwell. Shower yourself with love and know that you will find that special someone when you least expect it. After all, true love is as beautiful as it is unpredictable. And that alone makes finding it one of life’s greatest and most worthwhile pursuits.
