An initiative that inspires young designers and big names in the industry to create new pieces with recycled materials, The Upcycle Project yields not only awareness of the immense amount of waste that the fashion industry produces, but also challenges the new generation to consider “waste” as a perfect instrument for new creations. The organization has partnered with local drycleaners to collect forgotten pieces and give them to fashion student to use as materials for college projects.
