The issue you hold in your hands has been months in the making. It all started when we arrived at The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne one cool morning right after Thanksgiving ready for a day full of glamour, fun and lots of love with our 2011 Key Couples. As you can see from the photo above, taken at the culmination of the shoot, we had a blast. In the midst of mimosas, laughter and camera flashes during the shoot, something magical happened. We captured pure love on film — with many bloopers, jokes and awkward poses in between. Even though none of the couples had met one another before, they all came together like they’d known each other for years. After all, they had a lot in common. Although the stories of how each couple met, married and arrived on Key Biscayne to raise their families varied greatly, this year’s couples forged an instant bond with their newfound neighbors. Now those new friendships will be forever immortalized on our cover as a reminder of how love brought them all together. This special Valentine’s Day-inspired feature is one of our favorites to produce each year, but this time around the finalists really made it one to remember and definitely set the bar for years to come. As you flip through this issue, we hope you love reading each page as much as we loved getting it together.
