Tourmaline
Scientists in Korea have recently reported that tourmaline shows promising results when used as raw materials in skincare products. When tourmaline crystals warm as they are rubbed onto skin, they become positively charged on one end and negatively charged on the other. When used in moisturizers, exfoliants and anti-agers, they increase the absorption of nutrients into the skin. They may also increase the production of new collagen and the contraction of fibers, thus restoring the springiness of skin.-

Rose Quartz
The positive energy of rose quartz is the stone most commonly associated with skincare benefits. It works to improve circulation and can calm irritated complexions, as well as help soften fine lines and wrinkles. Legend has it that the ancient Egyptians believed rose quartz could prevent aging, and throughout history civilizations have sworn by the healing powers of the crystal. It is thought to help balance emotions, while quartz, in general, is said to have very powerful healing properties.

Amethyst
The quartz family’s varied violet or purple-colored precious stone not only affects the mind and temperament, but also has significant skincare benefits. Just like vitamins, our bodies also need minerals, and since we’re made up of water, minerals and tissue, they’re beneficial to our bodies and our skin. Amethyst can help cleanse the skin of toxins, excess oils and daily debris such as dead skin cells. The stone also works to promote the flow of oxygen to the skin.

Malachite
Often referred to as the “Botox of Crystals,” Malachite contains a high copper content that stimulates collagen production, which improves skin elasticity and combats wrinkles. Other benefits include strengthening the skin’s natural defenses, being antioxidant-rich and fighting free radicals. In addition to its curative and protective properties, Malachite is a symbol of creativity and change. It was traditionally used by ancient Egyptian healers, shamans and priestesses to balance, harmonize and protect the body.
