The works of Daniel Cherbuin are characterized by highly innovative montages, idiosyncratic alliances of images, as well as an anarchic tenor: with irony and pastiche. He has also been converting music into clips and visuals in ingenious ways for numerous bands, namely Yello, Division Kent and various collaborations with Thomas Haemmerli, for art and experimental films. Cherbuin’s latest piece, Tetrapak, is a Dibond LCD screen print that serves as a reflection of commerce and a symbol for solipsism featuring beautiful women in shades looking at the viewer. Enter, Amanda Mullen, avid art collector and the founder of clothing boutique Fred Black, who was drawn to the work during a New York art show. At her Sunset Harbour boutique, she’s merged her love for art and culture by curating a gorgeous collection of artworks that embrace Miami Beach’s rich history while inspiring shoppers to express themselves and push boundaries with their own fashion story; Artsy.net; FredBlack.com.
