The automotive world was forever changed when the first Lexus — the Lexus LS Sedan — rolled into showrooms in 1989 as an alternative to German, British and American luxury sedans. Luxury SUVs were later added to the roster, with Lexus introducing the GX back in 2010. The all-new Lexus GX has an aggressive, yet elegant exterior with tasteful touches of black trim on the grill, rocker panels and wheel wells that provide a hint at its off-road capabilities. Powered by a 349-hp twin-turbo V6 lined to a 10-speed transmission, the GX is ready for smooth highways or rugged dirt trails. Inside, there’s a choice of either semi-aniline leather or Nuxe synthetic leather upholstery. The driver enjoys a 12.3” display of vehicle status, while a 14” touchscreen controls the passenger climate and entertainment. Also available is a standard 10-speaker sound system or an optional 21-speaker Mark Levinson Surround Sound system and integral CoolBox beverage cooler; Lexus.com.
