Key Biscayne resident and Miami Fencing Club athlete Veronica Tissone has been making significant waves in fencing competitions, signaling a promising future in the sport. In just 2.5 years, the MAST Academy student has competed across multiple age categories and divisions with top finishes and podium placements in regional competitions including the Daytona Duel ROC, Lotus Cup ROC/RJCC/RYC, and Battle at the Beach RYC/RJCC. Additionally, she earned 2nd place in the Cadet category at the Campeonato Centroamericano y del Caribe Cadete y Juvenil 2025 in Costa Rica; 1st place in the Junior category; and 3rd place in Cadet at the Copa Nacional Interligas e Interclubes in Colombia. Back home in Florida, she secured 1st place in Division III Mixed Saber and 2nd place in Senior Women’s Saber during the 2025 Florida Fencing State Championships; MiamiFencing.club.
