Beginning as a volunteer intern in 1996, he moved through key leadership roles and became Executive Director in 2019. Under his guidance, the organization stands as a leader in community-based suicide prevention — ensuring the healthy development of all young people through powerful communication and education on gender and orientation. His commitment comes from lived experience. He knows the cost of silence and dedicates his career to ensuring that families never face those struggles alone. Through dialogues, workshops and family engagement, the organization has reached over 100,000 families, educators and providers, strengthening communities of care that prevent harm before it starts. As YES Institute marks its 30th anniversary, new partners are encouraged to join the mission. On Feb. 28, 2026, the organization will celebrate aboard the Biscayne Lady, honoring decades of impact and collaborating with sponsors who are committed to creating healthy futures for all youth; YESInstitute.org.
