Sometimes you can do everything right — eat well, exercise regularly and take great care of yourself — and still feel as though your outward appearance doesn’t reflect the inner, youthful you. That’s where Dr. John J. Martin, Jr., steps in. At his state-of-the-art solo practice in Coral Gables, Dr. Martin uses the latest techniques to make up for what even the best intentions can’t quite achieve on their own. “One of the most exciting things about this profession is the rapid development of new technologies,” he says. His suite offers clients a comfortable, high-tech venue for procedures from laser treatments to Botox, peels, liposuction and expert plastic surgery with lower costs and lower risks of infection than a traditional hospital setting. “I take pride in providing individualized attention and enhanced service quality to each of my patients,” he says.

Dr. T.J. Giuffrida
Dermatology & Skin Cancer Center
3275 Ponce de Leon Blvd.
Coral Gables, FL 33134

It can be easy to feel like the biggest enemy of your skin is the aging process, but for some there can be a much more serious threat: skin cancer. “When I was young, I had a family member that passed away from melanoma skin cancer,” shares Dr. T.J. Giuffrida. As such, during his medical training, Dr. Guiffrida learned that skin cancer can be very preventable and treatable. He is now one of the few surgeons in Miami who specialize in Mohs surgery. “This procedure is a state-of-the-art skin cancer treatment in which the physician serves as surgeon, pathologist and reconstructive surgeon,” he says. At Dr. Giuffrida’s unique, highly specialized office, he’s able to give patients an unexpected degree of personal attention. “I spend significant time educating patients about protecting their skin and what the sun can do to it,” he says. After all, prevention is the best cure of them all.
