The readily identifiable creative shape of the new LV Nanogram Speaker — itself a reverential reflection of the iconic Louis Vuitton Toupie Bag — is expressed in a compact and modern version with crafted details in reference to the DNA of Louis Vuitton trunk makers. Fitted with a natural cowhide leather handle and finished with yellow stitching and a red-dyed edge that is tethered to the speaker with Louis Vuitton engraved steel studs, it evokes memories of the fixings that held wooden reinforcement batons in place on early trunk designs. The body carries debossed Louis Vuitton Monogram flowers. The rubber ring is decorated with 12 letters spelling out the name of the Maison, each of which is backlit by an LED when the speaker is activated. The steel buttons are all gently engraved with an icon to indicate their function. It’s available in essential, timeless silver; soft, natural Copper; and khaki green damoflage, created by Pharrell Williams. Is it haute couture? Cutting-edge technology? It’s tech-couture; US.LouisVuitton.com.
