The mission of Sabbia, since they opened their first location in Chicago in 2000, has always been to support artists such as Alex Sepkus and Lina Fanourakis. While the two designers are completely distinct, what they have in common is the uniqueness of their designs and quality craftsmanship. In 2002, Sabbia opened a second location at the Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne. Over the past 20 years, they have continued to support small family-owned jewelers. Although some of the brands that they represent have grown since they began carrying the collections, each artist they carry is committed to quality craftsmanship and cutting-edge design. In addition to Alex Sepkus and Lina Fanourakis, they offer collections such as Pomellato, Tamara Comolli, Eclat and Mariani, among many other designs. “We believe in the importance of supporting the art of handmade jewelry,” says Debbie Friedman, owner. “The jewelry industry has slowly shifted to mass markets and mass production. It’s essential to preserve the ancient art of jewelry-making and ensure that we maintain this beautiful tradition for future generations.” Beyond the important purpose of adornment, historically, fine jewelry and gemstones have been used to heal and to protect as well as to celebrate beautiful moments in our lives; Sabbia.com.
