Beleza, Redefined

Offering a diverse array of sinuous and sensual design pieces in pleasingly rustic mediums, Brazil-born Ovoo may be the next greatest thing to hit the Miami Design District.

Receiving yet another boon as the cultural gateway to the global south, Art Week Miami saw the North American premiere of Brazilian design house Ovoo in our own Design District. Founded by aesthete, entrepreneur and patriot Marta Micheli, Ovoo brings a distinctly Brazilian voice to Miami’s design consciousness. With a lineup of artists representing a veritable who’s who in the Brazilian luxury design world, works by such celebrated talents as Zanini De Zanine and Sergio Rodrigues offer Miami décor devotees a glimpse of a country steadily emerging as a trendsetter in the international design scene. Specializing in the pastoral materials of leather and authentic indigenous hardwoods, Ovoo’s pieces offer a decidedly primeval inverse to Miami’s more common ultra-modern Art Deco mode; 3650 N.
