While The New York Times says: “This troupe [is] at the forefront of all those dancing choreography by George Balanchine today…Bold, light, immediate, intensely musical, the dancing of Miami City Ballet flies straight to the heart.” The comprehensive Miami City Ballet School offers a Children’s Division for 3- to 7-year-olds, a Student Division for those 8-13 and the Pre-Professional Division for 14-18. There’s also a Summer Intensive, Choreographic Intensive, Children’s Summer Dance and even a South American Intensive. The company reaches out to the community with further classes, lecture-demonstrations, performances and experiential workshops to inspire youth and people of all ages and backgrounds with ballet; MiamiCityBallet.org.
