The free choreography classes help build technique and confidence on the dancefloor, but its main motivation is family-friendly fun. Developed by Rhythm Foundation, the non-profit which organizes the Heineken Transatlantic Festival and Hollywood ArtsPark Experience, the monthly event is open to all ages. The first hour is dedicated to complimentary lessons led by local professionals and the final two are for partnering up and putting your knowledge into practice. On July 9, they’ll pull out all the stops with instructors from King Dance Studio and a 15-piece orchestra, Conjunto Impacto. On Aug. 13, Anita Mason will host the contra dance session, while Cornbread performs a live history lesson on American folk music. Step to it every 2nd Thursday of the month from 7 p.m.-10 p.m. at 7275 Collins Ave.; NorthBeachBandshell.com.
