As part of her duties, she oversees the day-to-day operations on behalf of SOBEWFF’s co-producer and beneficiary Florida International University (FIU). To date, the Festival has raised over $40 million for FIU. “I’ve spent 19 years in the event management field, all of which have been with SOBEWFF,” she says. Prior to starting her current role, she spent 2 years as an intern in the Auction Department and 5 years producing the Festival’s only family-focused event: Fun & Fit As A Family. From there, she moved into the role of Sponsorship & Ticketing Director in which she oversaw 95% of the revenue coming into the Festival. She’s also played an important role in SOBEWFF’s sister Festival, New York City Wine & Food Festival (NYCWFF), assisting their sponsorship department from a consulting perspective. She holds a Bachelors of Science in Journalism from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism and a Masters Degree in Hospitality Management from FIU’s Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management. Outside of the office, she’s passionate about golf, enjoying exceptional food and wine alongside her husband, Executive Chef Gabriel Fenton, and coaching the baseball teams of her sons, Brooks and Wesley; SOBEWFF.org.
