She describes her creative process as evolving organically, with each new piece developing through each step in the process. Growing up in a Norman Jaffe-designed home, she was deeply influenced by minimalist aesthetics and mid-century modern design, elements that are prominently featured in her work. She was captivated by art from an early age, beginning drawing lessons and completing her first oil painting by the age of 10. “I’m drawn to the science as well as to the romance of color and love seeing how each piece evolves over time,” she explains. Her latest exhibit is at Arlo Wynwood through Arlo’s Living Room Gallery program, which features a rotating display of collector-grade art in a welcoming and accessible environment that is free and open to the public; LisaAshinoff.com.
