Every year, when our team begins working on our annual “Most Beautiful People” issue, everyone asks me what our definition of “beauty” is. And every year I respond with the same question: “What is your definition?” Most people are taken aback by my response. Some have never thought of their own interpretations of beauty before. Many don’t even know what to say. Others tell me that they understand that defining beauty is nearly impossible, but they have a bunch of family, friends and neighbors in Key Biscayne they would like to nominate. So, what is beauty? I’m not going to answer that on this page. There simply isn’t enough room. But I will ask you to ponder about what your own definition of beauty is. After all, true beauty is in the eye of the beholder. And that might be the one thing we can all agree on when it comes to the subject. And that in and of itself is beautiful no matter how you look at it.
