Lazy Days

When was the last time you took a day off that wasn’t tied into a stressful vacation? From work, from family, from chores?

Sometimes it’s not possible to escape for a full 24 hours — but if you’re not taking at least a few hours to yourself to do absolutely nothing each day, you’re not living life. A quick escape will almost always result in a better, more recharged you. Although this is common sense, I’m always surprised at how hard it is to really disconnect for a bit, even on the weekends. Deadlines, social engagements, daily duties…the incessant smartphone calls, emails and texts — it can be overwhelming. Next time you’re at your wits end, remember this letter, drop what you’re doing and disappear! Rest assured, the world will keep going and hopefully no one will even notice you’re gone. JORGE ARAUZ, EDITOR-IN-CHIEF.

“The next time you feel stressed just stop what you’re doing, close your eyes and take a deep breath.”
