One of my favorite quotes of all time has been attributed to many authors, speakers, entrepreneurs, celebrities and world leaders but no one knows exactly who said it first: “Do all the good you can.

“If nature has made you a giver, your hands are born open, and so is your heart; and though there may be times when your hands are empty, your heart is always full.”
By all the means you can. In all the ways you can. In all the places you can. To all the people you can. As long as you can.” If there were ever words to live by, those are it. My wife and I are firm believers in the power of philanthropy. In fact, we met at a charity gala 10 years ago! In 2015, we produced PhilanthroFest’s “Carnival of Dreams” at Museum Park, a humble labor of love that morphed into the nation’s largest festival of non-profits, connecting more than 100 organizations with thousands of volunteers and donors. Since then, we’ve continued to invest in the people, places and projects that help make The 305 thrive. As we say goodbye to 2022 and welcome in all the possibilities of the new year, think about ways you can make an impact. You may just change someone’s life — and your own perspective — in the process.
Companionship, laughter and a sense of purpose — pets bring so much into our lives. In a world that’s always on the go, they remind us to slow down and enjoy the simple moments. For a rescue in need, a loving home means the world.
