It was a feature on some of Miami’s most eclectic art collectors and their homes. I read the piece, looked at the photos and then it dawned on me: “My Home, My Museum.” Turns out, my very first headline earned several “Best Headlines” awards throughout Florida and also inspired me to step up my surroundings — both at home and at the office. My wife and I share a similar passion when it comes to art and furniture. We’ve traveled all over the world to find unique pieces. Road trips to estate sales, thrift shops and furniture consignment showrooms is a great way to spend a long weekend. After years of curating our house and hosting people from all over the world, we find that there are always smiles at every turn because we have filled our house — inside and out — with objects that make us — and our guests — happy. And that is perhaps the interior design philosophy we should all aspire to establish.
