When Veteran Dustin Gladwell and his significant other Sarimá Gracia joined forces to launch Charlie Mike on Veterans Day last year, they had no idea how many lives they would change.  The foundation offers several programs, all provided 100% free of charge to Veterans, including the Canine Battle Buddy Program, where they rescue, rehabilitate and train dogs to be adopted by Veterans suffering from PTSD or facing other challenges. They also offer an Equine Therapy Program, where wild American Mustangs and domesticated horses provide therapeutic relief to Veterans. Additionally, the Disaster Relief Program deploys groups of Veterans to areas affected by disasters, so that they may utilize their skills to assist and provide support. “If a Veteran reaches out to us with a specific need we don’t cater to, we guide them in the right direction, ensuring they receive the necessary support,” say the organizers. “Our work will create a new community, a new forum, and new programs to help former war fighters integrate back into civilian life after military service.” To make a one-time contribution or set up a recurring donation, visit CharlieMike.org/Donate.
