Mark your calendar. The Miami Symphony Orchestra has a series of free concerts scheduled that serve as their way of giving back to the city that has embraced them. Each is a great way to relax and unwind as you listen to world-class musicians. It’s a wonderful opportunity to introduce children to classical music. Or perhaps you want to experience it during a romantic date night. Enjoy Let’s Be Romantic on Feb. 4; an as-yet-untitled concert on Mar. 11; Savor The Sounds Of Spring on April 29; and celebrate the birth of our nation on 4th of July in classical style. With 80 highly talented musicians selected from around the world, MISO represents the exceptional talent and diversity that mirrors South Florida’s international and multicultural richness. Founded in 1989 by the late Manuel Ochoa, the baton has been in the hands of acclaimed Venezuelan Composer & Conductor Eduardo Marturet since 2006; TheMISO.org.
