Every year I patiently wait for the first “Happy Holidays” greeting…this year it arrive a bit early from an old friend via text, two weeks before Thanksgiving. And, so, since the beginning of November, I’ve been in holiday mode, happily awaiting a series of feasts for Thanksgiving, giving and receiving on Christmas Day and counting down the seconds until 2012 on New Year’s Eve. This issue is dedicated to all those last-minute scrambles to find gifts that your loved ones will be happy to receive — and hopefully utilize — and to all those of you serious about the New Year’s Resolutions you’ve committed to for the new year. But gifts and goals aside, make sure to enjoy the blessings that are your family and friends this holiday season. Through good times and bad, long after the wrapping paper is discarded and the glittery holiday cards read, it’s the special people in your life who will outlast anything you could ever possibly get in a box with a shiny bow attached. So, without further ado: Here’s a great big heartfelt “Happy Holidays” from our family to yours!
