Rosanna Kalis creates large-scale paintings, murals and custom designs inspired by the lines of traditional Korean paintings, the intricacy of Art Nouveau, and the movement of street art. Her latest installation Press Play at Mad Arts is part of Ignite Broward, a dynamic 10-day festival running from Feb. 14-23. She invites viewers to step into the boombox of simpler days and experience a story about discovering power through self-discovery, cultural identity, and the joining of old and new. The exhibition uses layers of light, art and sound to bring viewers inside the artist’s large-scale paintings, inspired by folk art and nostalgic synthwave beats; RosannaKalis.com; IgniteBroward.com.
