Welcome to our inaugural Key Biscayne Guide! This all-inclusive achievement is very close to my heart. Some of my most treasured childhood memories were born on the Key. My photo albums are filled with the smiling, sun-kissed faces of my family and friends at Crandon and “El Farito.” Weekend picnics, BBQs and lazy days at the beach were the norm growing up. Usually, you could find me in the background somewhere digging a hole or building a sandcastle. I also liked venturing out to Virginia Key at low tide to see what I could dig up. I used to love hunting for slimy living things along the shore. (And I still do!). When we decided to officially launch this project, I couldn’t wait to get started. I knew that nostalgia would be a welcomed by-product to this massive undertaking. Plus, I had a reason to go out and have a little fun in paradise in between deadlines! Now that it’s complete, I want you to know that this is your Guide, do with it as you wish. Tear out the pages. Write notes in it. Fold over the pages of your favorite sections. And keep it all year long as a quick reference to every business on Key Biscayne. We even threw in some recommendations on the best Accommodations, Entertainment, Shopping, Beauty, Home & Office, Health & Wellness, Dining and Professional Services on the island and beyond. The “Powerhouses” section will introduce you to the top real estate professionals on Key Biscayne who will help you upgrade to a new home or help you find homes for your family and friends who are thinking of moving to the island. If you don’t already know every inch of this Key Biscayne by heart, I encourage you to go out there and explore new places, people and pastimes.
