Show Me The Way

Despite the celebrities, gentry and throngs of tourists that flock to the French Riviera’s top vacation spot, St. Tropez remains La Peregrina Pearl of the Côte d’Azur.

A sherbet-colored fanciful fishing village reminiscent of a mini Beverly Hills, St. Tropez is a seaside town with secluded coves and a legendary nightlife. It personifies the sun-kissed, laid-back, chic and carefree lifestyle we all yearn for. The outfit du jour for many this season is a bathing suit worn under an embroidered sundress with sunglasses, a wide-brimmed hat and a handmade straw tote. For a taste of what locals enjoy, head to the café-bakery Sénéquier and indulge in a slice of Tarte Tropézienne. The pastry is a light and fluffy brioche cake with an almond crème filling that will leave you in a foodie trance. Afterward, make your way along the waterfront and down the bougainvillea-draped narrow streets with the aroma of the Mediterranean guiding you, lined with designer boutiques among the cafés and small bookstores. This is one of the most famous beach hamlets in the world, and as other places fade in and out of popularity, St. Tropez remains a rare balance of glamour and simplicity; SaintTropezTourisme.com.
