Soul Wander

It’s extremely rare that I wake up to an alarm in the morning — even when I set one, I naturally awaken with the warm glow of the sun on my face and the spirited chirping of birds outside.

Before I answer any phone calls or read any emails, I like to take a stroll in my backyard and plot my plan of action for the day. I water the plants, talk to them, feel the cold morning dew on my feet and the balmy breezes on my face. I’ve found this ritual helps me not only unite with the breathtaking world around us, it also makes me appreciate just how blessed we are to live in such a beautiful paradise made up of a diverse melting pot of people and ideas from all over the globe. As chaotic as it gets in this ever-hectic life, I will ALWAYS stop and smell the roses. It’s a cliché I live by.

“Home has a meditative effect on the soul, it encourages you to contemplate life, to connect with your surroundings and to appreciate all those around you who make life worth living.”
