Sevilla Sizzles
Spring in Miami calls for color, rhythm and a little Andalusian drama. During La Feria de Sevilla in Miami, Tropical Park transforms into a swirl of flamenco dresses, guitar strings, and lantern-lit romance, channeling southern Spain with a distinctly South Florida pulse. Expect Sevillanas dancing with joyful precision, live music that moves from soulful to celebratory, and casetas that invite lingering over tapas, sherry and conversation. Horses and traditional attire add pageantry, while families, friends and culture lovers drift from dance floor to dining table. The atmosphere feels festive yet welcoming, a place to discover tradition without formality. As the day slides into evening, the park glows with laughter and clapping palms, and the city finds a new cadence; Mar. 14 @ Tropical Park; LaFeria.us.

Inspired Youth
Continuing their activation efforts to get the next generation immersed with opera, Florida Grand Opera is presenting a free opera for children, designed for families and neurodivergent students. The bilingual story Bear Hug/Abrazo de Oso features a Bearnardo, a Spanish Brown Bear who is lost in his newfound home at the zoo. Along the way, he meets a few friends that make him feel at home. He joins Polly the Panda and Marla the Koala Bear, and they all discover the meaning of fun and friendship despite the fact that they speak different languages. Together, they help Griff, the big scary Grizzly Bear, open up to his softer side and transform him from a bully to a best bear friend. This opera teaches the important lesson that while we maybe all be different on the outside, we all have the same heart; Show is Feb. 7 @ 4 p.m. @ Trinity Episcopal Church; FGO.org.
