Red, White & Crandon
Key Biscayne does the 4th of July the way it does most things: on its own terms, at its own pace, with the whole island invited. Now in its 67th year, the Key Biscayne 4th of July Parade kicks off at 11 a.m. along Crandon Boulevard from Harbor Drive to Westwood Drive, bringing out floats, marching bands, decorated bikes, and generations of families who wouldn’t dream of being anywhere else. This year adds a special layer with 6 prize categories marking the 200th anniversary of the Key Biscayne Lighthouse and the nation’s 250th. After the last float clears, the Rotary Club’s Liberty Grill fires up on the Village Green with Mojo-Burgers, cold beer, and watermelon. The night ends with a fireworks show off the Atlantic; Free and open to all; KB4.org.

Prime Pour
Nearly half a century in the making, the Talisker Magma 47-Year-Old arrives as one of the most geographically specific whiskies ever produced. From the Isle of Skye, a landscape carved by ancient lava and relentless Atlantic weather, this ultra-limited release explores what happens when time, place and process converge at the highest level. After decades in refill American oak hogsheads, the spirit underwent a finishing period in new casks toasted with volcanic rock sourced directly from Skye. The result is a whisky of deep maritime minerality, layered smoke, and a warmth that feels less like a flavor note and more like a geological force. Just 105 bottles are available in the U.S. Part of the Diageo Rare & Exceptional collection, this is provenance you can pour; DiageoRareAndExceptional.com.
