The FAIR-est Of Them All!
One of the largest in Florida, the Miami-Dade County Youth Fair & Exposition is sure to delight everyone with spectacular rides, performances by singers, dancers, ice skaters, circus acts, pig races, and Frisbee-catching dogs. It is also known for fun food, so save room for elephant ears, candied apples, corn dogs, ice cream and deep-fried everything. Be sure to stroll by the Community Showcase for thousands of youth exhibits, achievements and awards; Apr. 2-6; FairExpo.com.

Clean It Up
The Biscayne Bay Cleanup Day, better known as Baynaza, brings the community together to keep the bay beautiful. Volunteers will spread across 30 sites, gathering and removing trash and discarded items from the bay and along its shores. Community service hours are available to participating students, and every volunteer gets a commemorative t-shirt; Apr. 12; MiamiDade.gov/Baynanza.

Fast Times
What’s better than taking a run through beautiful bayfront scenery? The annual Key Biscayne Half Marathon takes runners through Crandon Park and Virginia Key. An “out and back” run, a portion of the course includes dirt roads and paths. Age groups will range from 19 and under to 80+ — all runners who complete the event within 3.5 hours will be awarded a medal; Apr. 6; BaysideHalfMarathon.com.
