Several years ago, Montblanc made holographic history with the Montblanc Summit Smartwatch that allowed the tech-savvy to wear a watch that didn’t scream, “I speak Klingon!” At first glance, the Summit was a traditional watch complete with hour-, minute- and second-hands. Closer inspection revealed the ability to tap into cellular phone functions, monitor heart rate and check e-mails. The new Summit 2 features a slimmer 42 mm chronograph-style case that houses massive power thanks to a Qualcomm Snapdragon 3100 processor, 1 GB of RAM, 8GB of storage and an NFC chip. Cool features include Montblanc’s proprietary Timeshifter app that helps prevent jetlag, a handy thing when you lead a bi-coastal lifestyle. The “dial” can be instantly set to display digital or analog displays, and with 11 different straps to chose from, each wearer can effortlessly create a timepiece that’s as ideally suited for the boardroom as it is for running a marathon; Montblanc.com.
