Joining his grandfather on a secret quest to find a long-lost treasure swept to sea, 12-year-old Fin’s first mission in Treasure Tracks finds him alone on a hunt throughout Miami and the Florida Keys after an unfortunate wrong turn. Well, he’s not exactly alone — his “boring, totally unadventurous” father agrees to help out. With danger lurking at every turn, the protagonist dives into the mission in order to save his grandfather’s life. But between his dad’s constant worrying, unwanted diving babysitters, and harrowing encounters in the deep sea, the boy finds himself in a race against time to locate the treasure. Succeeding is a matter of life or death. Author S. A.
