Just as AMG utilizes a Mercedes-Benz as the platform to apply racing technology to create a performance car, so too has IWC transformed the Pilot’s Watch 41 Chronograph into a one-of-a-kind Special Edition. Starting with a 43mm case crafted from ultralight, extremely durable Grade 5 titanium with a matte grey finish inspired by AMG’s Selenite Grey Magno paint, IWC installs their 69385 movement with a power reserve of 46 hours. A woven black carbon fiber dial provides the racing-inspired setting for inset elapsed second, minute and hour subdials while current time is displayed via large, high-visibility white hour, second and minute hands. A crystal sapphire case back featuring the AMG logo allows a view of the mechanism in action. A black calf leather strap with contrast stitching and a folding clasp ensures the watch remains in place even during high-speed runs of the Nurburgring course; IWC.com.
