Recognized as “America’s Orchestral Academy,” New World Symphony (NWS) prepares graduates of music programs for leadership roles in professional orchestras and ensembles. In the 30 years since its co-founding by Artistic Director Michael Tilson Thomas and Lin & Ted Arison, the organization has helped launch the careers of more than 1,000 alumni worldwide. Aroids include many common houseplants like monsteras, peace lilies, philodendrons, pothos and ZZ plants. While many of these tend to be “low light” indoor plants, they’re often understory plants in the wild. The International Aroid Society aims to educate the world on these wonders of Mother Nature.
