Live & Play

Family friendliness is the latest “ultimate amenity” at Miami’s new luxury residential developments. In addition to larger condos to accommodate families, developers are creating dedicated children’s playrooms and programming.

Famed designers including Pininfarina, Yabu Pushelberg, David Rockwell and PYR by Pierre Yves-Rochon are designing children’s playrooms all over town. These over-the-top creations combine eye-catching design with state-of the art technology and the latest high-tech toys. At Palazzo Del Sol, “Camp Kidville” will be the New York-based childhood enrichment provider’s sole location in the southeast. Jade Signature has a pair of children’s rooms including a toddler sensory room and reading center as well as a teen’s tech lounge. The interactive kids’ room over at Hyde Suites & Residences Midtown Miami offers nanny services on-demand. As if that weren’t enough, Yabu Pushelberg crafted the indoor and outdoor monitored play areas on the 9th Floor Garden Lux level at SLS LUX Brickell, and Paraiso Bay boasts an interactive water playground and teen multimedia facilities on site. Looks like it’s a good time to be a kid (and a parent) in The Magic City.
