Suave Tides

If limited to choose just one word to describe the Otam 70HT, it would be “sleek;” if allowed just one more, “suave” would be apt. Happily, there is no limit, so “sophisticated”, “fast” and “capable” also come to mind.

A large cruiser affords the best of all worlds, combining the sleek lines of an express cruiser with the huge interior of a motor yacht. However, they are typically not particularly fast, rarely exceeding a WOT speed of 35 knots or so. The Otam 70HT shatters that barrier by utilizing an extremely efficient hull designed by a powerboat racing champion. As a result, the 70HT can attain speeds of 50 knots. Add in a LOA of 72’ allowing enormous enclosed areas and the result is breathtaking. Even at rest, the 70HT exudes performance. From the bow with its razor-sharp entry, the lines flow seamlessly aft past the sunbed to the raised pilothouse with its automotive-inspired airscoop to the extended swim platform and tender garage. The interior can be customized to suit each owner’s preferences, with ample room for a cavernous master suite set forward, multiple guest suites and separate crew quarters. The common areas allow for an enclosed helm, dining area, galley and salon as well as the open-air cockpit. Rather than a traditional propulsion system, the 70HT connects twin 2000-hp MAN or MTU turbodiesel engines to race-proven Arneson drives utilizing proprietary Otam-Rolla propellers. If we had a 70HT docked out back, it would be named Suavecito; Otam.it.
