The Deering Estate is more than a historic home. In recent years, through engaging programming, the venue has become a destination for unique cultural experiences.

Originally built by Charles Deering, the brother of Vizcaya owner, James Deering, the home was a reflection of his passion for the arts and nature. Today, the space is a cultural center for Southeast Miami-Dade County and boasts nature hikes, art exhibitions, festivals and performances year-round. While some cultural organizations take a much-needed break during the summer months, the Deering Estate keeps their programming going. It’s a perfect destination for families or a great spot for a romantic or adventurous date.
