Sometimes the deluge of information regarding climate change and habitat loss can seem disheartening. Where should one begin to make a change? In a refreshingly avant-garde answer, Dr. Lindsay Matheson and the Center For Great Apes have arranged an arts extravaganza highlighting those portions of our planet most in peril. With proceeds benefiting the Center For Great Apes, a Florida-based sanctuary that offers rehabilitation for abused orangutans and chimpanzees, Endangered: Art For Apes showcases artists from around the world coming together in defense of our planet. With an opening week featuring DJ’s, live music and a fashion show, Miami will surely be going bananas for this truly exotic artistic event. The exhibition will take place from Nov. 30-Dec. 3 at Dade Heritage Trust; 190 SE 12th Ter.; Art4Apes.com.
