If a sense of wanderlust starts begging you to pack your bags but you just can’t afford to take another vacation this year, make your way to Bayside for an authentic taste of Germany amid warm bay breezes and breathtaking views at Bavaria Haus. This German gastropub offers traditional German dishes like schnitzel, bratwurst and sauerkraut while keeping locals and tourists alike thirsty for saucy drinks poured by Bojan Mulutinovic, a Serbian transplant who got his start pouring brews and shaking cocktails as a youngster at his neighborhood bar. “The key to a good cocktail is based on the weather,” he shares from behind the dark-wood bar. “Beer needs to be served at the right temperature and with a good head so you can taste its real flavor.” As such, everyone is lining up for their Oktoberfest beer selection flown in directly from Hofbrau Munchen. When he isn’t busy tending bar, Mulutinovic takes to extreme sports for a jolt of adrenaline and enjoys kicking back at the beach and exploring Miami’s ever-evolving neighborhoods; BavariaHaus.us.
