ICU Baby held its Celebration of Miracles: Havana Nights at the Alfred I. Dupont Building to raise money to support families with babies in local NICUs.

VIP Preview

Brigitte Nachtigall from Great Properties International Realty and the developers of 880 Harbor Drive hosted a special VIP Preview of the magnificent waterfront estate which was just finished and is absolutely stunning.

Top Team

Great Properties Int’l Realty celebrated its Christmas lunch at Grand Bay Club to show its appreciation to all it’s agents for all the hard work they do all year long.

Bella BASH

Luminaries, friends and stars of the entertainment industry all gathered to celebrate the award-winning film Bella at the Mashta Island home of the film’s executive producers, Sean and Ana Wolfington. The private dinner party included celebrity legends from various genres and nationalities as well as Key Biscayne’s elite.

For the Kids

Albertina Cisneros and Juan Manuel Pascual hosted a cocktail event at the Bass Museum in Miami Beach to raise funds for the Child-Brain Foundation. Friends, family and community leaders participated throughout the evening in order to help advance the knowledge and treatment of pediatric neurological diseases in hopes of aiding the infants and children who benefit from the scientific research the organization supports.

Fine Fundraiser

Mike Aixala and Brigitte Nachtigall hosted a fundraiser at their home on Key Biscayne for the campaign of State Attorney Kathy Fernandez-Rundle. More than 120 guests including family and friends took part in the beautiful evening full of joy and glamour.

Grand Gala

Misioneros del Camino hosted a world-class gala at the Ocean Club in Key Biscayne that included a live auction to benefit the orphaned, abandoned and malnourished children of Guatemala.

Happy BIRTHday, Alex!

Alexander Aixala and a couple of his friends, cousins and family members joined him to celebrate his 10th B-day bowling at Lucky Strike Lanes! It was a day full of laughter, fun and enjoyment.

Ladies in Red

To raise awareness for heart disease in women, Sean and Ana Wolfington hosted an exclusive after-party for the designers, celebrities and benefactors involved with this year’s American Heart Association Red Dress Fashion Show at their waterfront home on Mashta Island. Sponsored by Bacardi, dresses for the event were created by top designers including Marc Jacobs, Richie Rich and Jennifer Lopez.

Bustamante’s B-day!

Friends and family gathered to celebrate Key Biscayne resident Vicente Bustamante’s birthday at Sake Room. Guests enjoyed a magical evening full of entertainment, music and lots of laughter.

Holiday Season Cheers!

Ernesto and Veronica Peralta hosted a small dinner party at their home to get the holiday season off to the right start with family and friends. It was a great evening full of joy and holiday spirit!

When you believe

Six charities from Colombia under the leadership and umbrella of Give to Colombia gathered for a spectacular and breathtaking gala called BELIEVE 2008 at Jungle Island. More than 500 guests help raise funds for the children of Colombia. Guests had the pleasure of viewing a fashion show by Esteban Cortazar for the Emmanuel Ungaro House, dancing to an incredible live concert by Carlos Vives and participating in a silent auction that made the event unique, successful and unforgettable.

Yachting Santa

Every year The Yacht Club hosts a magical dinner party for children and families with a cameo by Santa, who takes pictures and sings holiday songs with the kids to awaken the holiday spirit while enjoying his time aboard a nautical sleigh.

Twice the Fun

Thalia Puente and Ricardo Rongel hosted a small but delicious gourmet lunch in honor of Diana Bustamante and Rosaura Rodriguez, who celebrated their birthdays.

Earth Angels

Manos Del Sur and Key Biscayne residents hosted a lunch and bazaar to raise funds to help in-need children all over the world. The event honored Our Lady of Guadalupe, on her day, Dec. 12.

Magical Gala

More than a thousand guests joined Jackson Memorial Hospital to celebrate their annual gala at the Fontainebleau Hotel. The mission was to conduct traditional philanthropic activities while independently creating and implementing other strategic entrepreneurial initiatives that financially assist Jackson Memorial Hospital in advancing its status as a world-class medical center. One of the highlights of the evening was a show by Darren Romeo.

Paola Guerra hosted a lunch at her home to celebrate Elena Iturriaga’s birthday. Friends and family gathered to enjoy the delicious feast and help celebrate the birthday girl’s special day.

St. Agnes Parish just celebrated 60 years of Sister Marie Angela’s religious profession. It was a magical and festive evening where guests got to enjoy flamenco dancers, great music and a fabulous dinner by Mena Catering. There was also dancing and singing throughout the evening, which was full of excitement and surprises.

A group of friends all gathered at Paola Guerra’s house to celebrate and honor birthday girl Carmen Velazquez. Guests enjoyed food, music and the importance of friendship throughout the day.

Bringing the Eighties Back!

Ana and Clay Tootle hosted a magnificent, fun and unforgettable party at their home in Key Biscayne to celebrate Ana’s 40th B-day. It was back to the ‘80’s with the dress code and music coupled with dancing, laughter and dinner.

Nikolas Aixala celebrated his 8th B-day at the Grand Bay Club with all his classmates and very close frineds on a beautiful hot and sunny day. Guests had a blast enjoying all of the fun activities throughout the celebration!

The Grand Bay Club held their annual Christmas Bazaar. The event proved to be a huge success and all those who participated left with a big smile on their face.

Fundacion Manos del Sur held their annual fundraising event to benefit programs for Mexico and Argentina. The event was hosted at the residence of Silvia Pesci.

Soiree with a cause

For the third consecutive year, under the umbrella of Give to Colombia, several U.S.-based organizations working for Colombia hosted BeLive at The Viceroy Hotel in Miami. The annual Gala seeks to raise awareness about Colombia’s social needs. Among other highlights, the event held a successful silent auction with The Mochila Project; where 40 of the world’s best fashion designers such as Carolina Herrera, Oscar de la Renta and Vera Wang, among others, were given a traditional Wayuu bag to be updated and embellished in their own unique way. OndadeMar also unveiled their Spring 2010 swimsuit collection while Grammy winner Jorge Celedon kept guests entertained!

Surprise!

Ricardo Reinerman, Maria Claudia Dell’Oca and Florencia Godward organized a beautiful surprise birthday party for Elena Reinerman! It was a magnificent dinner at Zucchero Restaurant, with music, dancing and incredible fun. Elena’s closet family and friends all gathered to celebrate and had a magical time!

As Ernersto Peralta turned the Big Four-O, he had a wonderful time with all his friends and family, many of whom came from Mexico to celebrate. It was a beautiful evening filled with joy, happiness, well-wishes, presents and lots of candles!

The Vanguard School of Coconut Grove celebrated a Fun Flamenco Fest at CIFO recently. Parents, friends and staff gathered for a wonderful evening filled with dinner, dancing and an incredible auction.

Nikolas Aixala celebrated his First Communion with a party at his home where friends and family gathered for a beautiful luncheon with music and entertainment. It was a day full of joy, love and laughter!

Fond farewell

Ana Cristina Defortuna hosted a beautiful party at the Grand Bay Club for her sister Rosabel Dasso who moved back to Peru with her family after calling Key Biscayne her home for many years. Family and friends all gathered to give the best ferwell wishes to a dear sister, daughter and wonderful friend who is an example to all who have had the pleasure of knowing her.

Monika Sanchez Seijas and Otto Seijas baptized their son Santiago Seijas Sanchez at St. Agnes Church before celebrating with a beautiful luncheon at the Grand Bay Club where family and friends all gathered for a very special and beautiful occasion.

The All For Venezuela fashion show in Key Biscayne benefitted Friends Of The Children Of Venezuela, a Miami-based nonprofit in charge of vulnerable and hospitalized children in Venezuela.

Patty Gutierrez hosted and incredible party at her home on Curtiswood to celebrate her birthday. Friends and family gathered for this wonderful occasion, with incredible catering, music and mariachis!

The Grand Bay Club held their annual Bazaar, an opportunity for everyone to shop for wonderful things for the holidays.

Community matters

Mike Aixala & Brigitte Nachtigall hosted a fundraiser for State Attorney Kathy Fernandez Rundle at their home on Harbor Drive. Friends and family gathered to meet the State Attorney and to learn about all the things that her office does to help and keep our community safe.
